Life is a roller coaster & so is a startup! It’s really Not surprising for those entrepreneurs trying to get their company off the ground!
After last week when we decided to pivot to a new customer segment, this week it happen again! We are partly pivoting.
Must say that we have some disagreeing if we should pivot or not. So, We decided to split forces this week! (Oh, and more about co-founders disagreements on a later post. Spoiler, It’s actually a good thing!)
We still going with the parents and young students but try a new crowd….
Our new audience are entrepreneurs who still work from home and have S*** loads of stuff to do!! (yes, that’s you!)
I realized that, While all the urgent things are always done , they are not the most productive ones we ought to be doing.
Our productive stuff are the long term things are create us assets for the long run.
a few examples for productive task you want to complete as many as you can:
1. work on our copy.
2. Put up a new website
3. Refine our funnel
4. You get the point!
Here is an example of things that are not productive:
1. Reading your email
2. Checking the website stats for the 5th time today is NOT productive and wastes time!
3. Facebook, Twitter (unless directly related to your product or marketing efforts)
5. There are many many many (….) others.
Indeed, there are many productivity tools out there which can help you achieve your tasks for the day. Still though, I want to test a new tool because I think all others lack a basic component to complete your tasks: Human beings, People, friends, collages…Someone that You need to be accountable for!
So, here is an experiment I’m doing to help out, and want YOU to participate:
I’ll help 5 entrepreneurs being more focused, get S*** done, follow up on their work for one week. We will set the reporting criteria, make you WORK! and finish things on time.
Number #1 on that list will do the same for me.
This is how it works:
1. You will send me 5 tasks you have to complete for the week and WHEN you are planing to do them.
2. I’ll be reviewing these tasks and will make sure you will finish them (Use email and skype).
3. We will do 3 skype calls (day 1,4 &7) to check on you as well as daily email.
How much it will take from your time? not long.
Compose the task list email to me – 10 minutes
10 minutes skype calls X3 – 30 minutes
Total is 40 minutes a week, to make you finish everything you need to do.
