The bottom line is that it’s a really great app that outperforms many many others in my opinion (Still, Id’ be glad to hear people thinking differently).
BUT…read this story to the end!
Endless of endless word and posts, were written on learning how to learn Chinese and how to do it the best way? Not only posts are out there, but also websites dedicated ONLY for this, check Chinese Hacks and Study More Chinese as wonderful examples.
Frankly it’s just hard to follow, they do wonderful job, but on the information era, I just have no time for this. Full time job + start up + a thriving blog to run, really doesn’t leave a lot of time for you to learn Chinese.
A couple of months ago, I discovered Skitter! The website was okay but then they released an Iphone app which is great. Even as a 1st release it was almost bug free, never crashes or got stuck.
If you don’t know skritter at all there is nothing better then just quoting their team. This is their features list. The website design certainly lacks, but don’t be deceived, it’s still a great product.
Skritter would have been the ultimate app as far as I concern to learn Chinese if they had an android app as well, which they are not plan on developing anytime soon.
There is a demo made a while ago, but its performance is bad ( and video shooting is bad too…)
Still, although this criticism, I really like skritter and think they have a great product.
I decided to approached them and requested to give a special benefit to my readers. They are good guys, and were generous enough to give this blogs’ readers an extended trial period to try the app. It’s 4 weeks of trial instead of only a single week. Thanks George! (You get a special registration code to your email after registering on the form on the right sidebar)
They were even cool enough to generate a special list I requested them to add (so you can learn them), of commonly-used business term
I don’t have my Ipad anymore, also I’m carrying an android mobile phone, so I have no way to run the Skritter app. So, although I’m really in favor of open source (i.e: Android), at this point I have no choice but purchase an Iphone, just because of Skritter!
Yep, I finally got them bought an Ipad, borrowed an Iphone.
$518.49 is what I’v found on amazon for a white 8G unlocked Iphone 4 , any better deals?
Now Over to you
